Shahrukh Khan not a part of Dhoom 3

Soon after the huge success of Hrithik Roshan’s Dhoom 2, there were strong rumours of Aditya Chopra directing the third instalment of the Dhoom series.

Instead, Adi decided to direct a medium budget film and released Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi barely 8 months after the film went on floors. Post the success of Rab Ne, rumours of Shahrukh Khan being signed on by YRF for Dhoom 3 gained momentum, but as it turns out the rumours were completely false.

SRK in Dhoom 3?

After much speculation over who will star as the anti-hero in Dhoom 3, rumor is that the Yash Raj Camp has finally zeroed in on Shah Rukh Khan. In the past, the likes of John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan have played the part of the villain in the previous two installments making this role, one of the most “coveted” roles in modern day Hindi cinema. Yash Raj, who is currently going through a dip in their films, are said to be going through a low phase, “Yash Raj Films have been going through a lull period as none of their on-the-floor movies or their completed ones are generating any curiosity from the buyers as well as the audiences. SRK has always been a quick-fix solution for the Chopra,” claimed a source close to the camp to a leading publication.

'Salaam | Namaste' director for 'Dhoom 3'?

DHOOM 2 continues to make pots of money, while DHOOM 3 continues to make news. Even though Yash Raj hasnt announced DHOOM 3 yet, theres tremendous speculation pertaining to the star cast and director of the film. While chattermills are agog with the speculation that Shah Rukh and Aamir Khan have been penciled for pivotal roles, another report doing the rounds is that Aditya Chopra will direct the film, since Sanjay Gadhvi, the director of DHOOM and DHOOM 2, is now directing a film for Ashtavinayak [MAINE PYAAR KYUN KIYA, GOLMAAL, BHAGAM BHAG].

Shahrukh to play anti-hero in Dhoom 3

The super success of Dhoom and Dhoom 2 meant that the role of an anti-hero was being appreciated by the audience in Bollywood. It was John Abraham in Dhoom and Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2 playing thieves who stole the limelight ahead of Abhishek Bachchan who played the cop in both the cases. Yash Raj Films
plans to continue with anti-heroism even in Dhoom 3.

Just saw this trailor of Dhoom 3. Was surprised to see Shahrukh in it. It appears Dhoom just keeps getting better and better.

I did notice Abhisheik Bachchan in the trailor and Uday too, but not sure if Aishwarya Rai or any one else is a part of this cast in Dhoom3.

I guess they want to keep us guessing, in any case, it could turn out be a real entertainer as Dhoom was, or it could become a huge hype with no stuff in it, just like Dhoom2.

Apparently actor Akshay Kumar is all fired up and waiting to play the role of the snazzy well equipped stylish villain in the next sequel Dhoom 3 .

The star has reportedly expressed his intentions to Aditya Chopya and is really pepped up to play the role.
