Shahrukh Khan not a part of Dhoom 3

Soon after the huge success of Hrithik Roshan’s Dhoom 2, there were strong rumours of Aditya Chopra directing the third instalment of the Dhoom series.

Instead, Adi decided to direct a medium budget film and released Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi barely 8 months after the film went on floors. Post the success of Rab Ne, rumours of Shahrukh Khan being signed on by YRF for Dhoom 3 gained momentum, but as it turns out the rumours were completely false.

SRK in Dhoom 3?

After much speculation over who will star as the anti-hero in Dhoom 3, rumor is that the Yash Raj Camp has finally zeroed in on Shah Rukh Khan. In the past, the likes of John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan have played the part of the villain in the previous two installments making this role, one of the most “coveted” roles in modern day Hindi cinema. Yash Raj, who is currently going through a dip in their films, are said to be going through a low phase, “Yash Raj Films have been going through a lull period as none of their on-the-floor movies or their completed ones are generating any curiosity from the buyers as well as the audiences. SRK has always been a quick-fix solution for the Chopra,” claimed a source close to the camp to a leading publication.

DHOOM 2 continues to make pots of money, while DHOOM 3 continues to make news. Even though Yash Raj hasnt announced DHOOM 3 yet, theres tremendous speculation pertaining to the star cast and director of the film. While chattermills are agog with the speculation that Shah Rukh and Aamir Khan have been penciled for pivotal roles, another report doing the rounds is that Aditya Chopra will direct the film, since Sanjay Gadhvi, the director of DHOOM and DHOOM 2, is now directing a film for Ashtavinayak [MAINE PYAAR KYUN KIYA, GOLMAAL, BHAGAM BHAG].

If rumour mill is to be believed, the powerful trio of SRK, Hrithik and Abhishek would be seen together in Yash Raj's Dhoom 3.

Speculations go that both Shah Rukh and Hrithik Roshan will have powerful characterisation in the upcoming sequel.

SRK to play baddie in ‘Dhoom 3’

London Superstar Shah Rukh Khan who redefined the Bollywood villain by playing the bad guy in films like 'Baazigar', 'Anjaam' and 'Darr' is set to do a negative role once again for 'Dhoom 3', reports said.

Khan has been approached by Yashraj Films to play the villain in the third edition of Dhoom series and the star has reportedly accepted the offer, Femalefirst reported.

"Shah Rukh had been approached by the banner to play the main villain in the most successful franchise of Bollywood - the Dhoom series and he has immediately given the nod," a source told the website.

Last few days there has been a lot of buzz that Saif Ali Khan has signed the dotted line for the same role but it seems they were just plain rumours, the source added.

After the remarkable success of Dhoom-1 and Dhoom-2, Yash Raj Films is ready to make third segment of the 'Dhoom' series (Dhoom-3) with Shahrukh Khan.

According to reports, YRF approached the King Khan to play the role of a thief in their upcoming flick.

Yash Raj Films, who had been going through difficult time owing to economic slowdown and the ongoing producers-multiplexers strike, see SRK as a quick-solution to all their sufferings.

It is a known fact that YRF approach SRK every time they confront a lull in their year, and Bollywood Badshah never fails to deliver a hit for them.

A few examples of this included 'Chak De! India' and 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'.

If all this goes fine, it won't be first time that Shahrukh is playing a negative character in his career.

Shah Rukh and Saif in Dhoom 3?

It seems that the third installment of Dhoom may not have Aamir Khan as the good cop after all.

Rumour mills were working hard when Aamir was touted for the role, replacing Abhishek Bachchan, but Aamir has turned down the project. The reasons for this are unclear, but Aamir was not happy with the good guy role, as in the Dhoom films it is the baddies that win all the accolades.
